Technical Manager

We are currently working on behalf of an established London-based specialist contractor that focuses on delivering high-profile recladding remediation works and complex refurbishment schemes.

With an expanding portfolio and increased project demand, they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager from a contracting background who can operate autonomously to lead on Building Safety Regulator (BSR) works, Building Safety Act compliance and Gateway submissions.

The role offers flexible hybrid working alongside site visits across London as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical coordination and delivery of building envelope, recladding and refurbishment schemes across Greater London.
  • Take full ownership of Building Safety Regulator (BSR) processes, leading on Gateway 2 applications and technical compliance strategies.
  • Coordinate external architects, facade engineers, fire consultants and specialist design partners throughout the remediation lifecycle.
  • Review, interrogate and approve technical facade packages, construction details and fire safety specifications.
  • Establish and maintain Golden Thread documentation across all Higher-Risk Building (HRB) projects.
  • Resolve technical site queries and liaise closely with construction and project delivery teams to ensure works comply with approved designs.
  • Oversee statutory approvals, Building Regulations compliance and warranty provider sign-offs.
  • Support commercial and procurement teams with package scope reviews, contractor queries and value engineering options.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
