Lead Food Safety & Quality Excellence!
Pilgrim's Europe is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team at our Corsham site.
This is a high-profile role responsible for leading the Technical function, ensuring the highest standards of Food Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Customer Satisfaction are maintained at all times. You'll act as the site's technical ambassador, driving a culture of continuous improvement while developing strong relationships with customers, auditors, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the site's Food Safety, Quality, Hygiene, and Technical functions.
- Maintain BRC accreditation and customer approvals, ensuring the site remains audit-ready at all times.
- Drive a proactive food safety and quality culture across the business.
- Lead customer visits, audits, and technical reviews, acting as the primary customer contact.
- Develop and implement technical continuous improvement strategies.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Technical team, building capability and succession plans.
- Support site-wide operational excellence through effective auditing, benchmarking, and risk management.
- Lead and support HACCP, TACCP, traceability, and food integrity programmes.
- Work collaboratively with Operations to ensure safe, legal, and high-quality products are consistently delivered.

About You
- Degree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven Technical Manager or Senior Technical leadership experience within chilled food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of BRC, HACCP, Food Safety, Quality Systems, and customer standards.
- Experience managing major retailer accounts and customer relationships.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Desirable
- Level 4 HACCP qualification.
- Lead Auditor qualification.
- Leadership or Management qualification.
- Experience in meat processing, thermal processing, microbiology, or food integrity systems.
