Technical Manager – Residential Development
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to lead the delivery of technical and design aspects of residential projects within a regional development team.
You will take ownership of the full design and technical process, from project inception through to completion, managing consultants and coordinating with statutory authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full design process across multiple residential projects
- Manage and coordinate external consultants and technical approvals
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC standards, planning, highways and drainage
- Fulfil key Principal Designer (CDM 2015) duties and H&S requirements
- Secure and manage technical approvals and legal agreements including S38, S104 and S278
- Oversee utility designs, surveys, reports and technical documentation
- Drive value engineering, buildability and cost control
- Support land acquisition, planning condition discharge and site delivery
- Resolve technical queries and provide site-based support when required

About You
- Proven experience in a Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager role within residential development or construction
- Strong technical, regulatory and commercial awareness
- Proficient in AutoCAD with good general IT skills
- Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making abilities
- Qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, CIAT, CIOB or similar)
- Full UK driving licence
