Our client is a Luxury Women’s RTW brand with a global following. They are looking for a Technical Manager who can bring their expertise to the team.

Working closely with the wider team, you will be driving the technical aspects of the RTW range across all categories, including quality, construction and all technical detailing from PD handover through to production.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the wider Design, Atelier, PD and Production teams you will manage and drive the garment fittings from development through to production to a high standard, being the key point of contact for all technical queries from both the internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Be responsible for on time fittings and approvals inline with the critical path set out each season, leading the team to ensure success.
  • Be able to identify and resolve all quality and construction issues and risk assess all styles to eliminate any potential production issues.
  • Be able to confidently provide suggestions on improvements relating to the process, suppliers or the fit of the garment, including sizing and block management, grading and finishing techniques.
  • Maintain and improve the brand quality and technical guidelines along with the supplier manual, providing the suppliers with all necessary details to ensure success.
  • Be able to manage and resolve any non-compliance issues that arise.
  • Tech file management with detailed comments, following through with the suppliers to ensure they are implemented for production.
  • Supplier performance management along with seasonal reviews, travelling to factories as required.
  • Returns management, continuously seeking opportunities to improve and find solutions to problems within the production process.

Our client is looking for someone who:

  • You must have proven experience within a similar role in a Women’s Luxury RTW brand, with exceptional technical skills.
  • Excellent hands on technical and construction knowledge, with a strong commercial awareness.
  • Be a self-starter and motivated alongside excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of communication with the factories and in-house team with the ability to build successful relationships.
  • Dynamic management style with proven experience to mentor and train junior members of the team.
  • A quick learner and able to work within a dynamic team, adapting to the daily needs of the business.
  • Experience of working with a wide network of vendors and experience of working with factories globally.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a strong team member who can drive this role with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong all-round IT skills, including working with PLM and Excel.
  • French / Italian language skills are desirable.
