If the answer is yes, then Future Electronics wants to hear from you! We are currently looking to employ a Technical Marketer.

Job Outline

The Technical Marketer is responsible for translating complex supplier and product information into relevant, commercially valuable content that helps Sales, Marketing and Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) identify and convert customer opportunities.

The role evaluates new and existing technologies from a technical, competitive and application perspective, creating tools and guidance that make it easier to position the right products and solutions with customers.

With a particular focus on digital processing technologies, the role works across Marketing, Engineering and supplier teams to add value to supplier information and support successful design conversion and replication.

What the role involves

  • Develop product comparison tools, selector guides and other technical resources to help Sales and FAEs identify and position the best solutions for customer opportunities.
  • Create application-focused material that positions key products within target markets, highlighting competitive differentiation, strengths, limitations and winning arguments.
  • Evaluate New Product Introductions (NPIs) for technical capability, competitive position and application potential, providing insight to support product launches and supplier feedback.
  • Translate individual product information into broader system-level solutions, identifying complementary technologies across the supplier portfolio.
  • Work with Vertical Segment Managers (VSMs), Marketing and other technical resources to translate technical expertise into effective commercial propositions and promotional material.
  • Support design conversion and replication programmes, identifying opportunities to repeat successful designs across relevant customers, applications and market segments.
  • Work with Supplier Development Managers (SDMs) and Marketing to develop strategies and innovative go-to-market approaches for priority products and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and other tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of technical research, analysis and content development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information for both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Commercial awareness with an ability to connect technical capability to customer value and business opportunity.
  • Curious, adaptable and keen to learn, with the ability to develop knowledge across new technologies, applications and markets.
