Role Overview

Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineer and Assurance. As enterprises simplify, modernize and secure their legacy environments for the digital era, robust quality Engineering and assurance is essential. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems. Cognizant QE&A is reimagining QE&A, employing an end-to-end ecosystem approach with intelligent and automated QA processes. In so doing, increasing quality and speed to promote faster business and technology change, as well as a better customer experience.

  • Gather Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), conduct workshops, scoping, planning, and estimation.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter.
  • Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) in AWS environments.
  • Set up and configure monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Provide NFT consultancy and guidance to project teams.
  • Execute performance tests in CI/CD environments (GitLab pipelines).
  • Analyse results, identify bottlenecks, and create detailed performance reports.
  • Prepare NFT test plans and execution strategies.
  • Recommend remediation actions to technical teams for performance issues.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience in Non-Functional Testing (NFT).
  • Strong hands-on expertise in JMeter.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS CLI.
  • Performance monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Ability to integrate monitoring tools with performance testing solutions.
  • Experience setting up tools in cloud environments and demonstrating PoCs.
  • Strong experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in performance analysis, bottleneck identification, and reporting.
  • End-to-end NFT lifecycle experience covering:
    • NFR gathering
    • Planning
    • Execution
    • Analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Profile

  • Good experience in Performance Testing / NFT.
  • Experience with cloud-native applications, microservices, and container platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead NFT engagements.
