Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sheraton for a Technical Office Quantity Surveyor and Shop Drawing Engineer. The role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), performing quantity take-offs, and supporting cost estimates and budget development for ongoing projects. The team member will review and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design specifications, standards, and site conditions. Daily tasks include updating cost reports, supporting cost control activities, issuing technical queries, and coordinating with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies. The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation, tracking changes and variations, and contributing to project planning and progress reporting.

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor budgets, track expenditures, and manage variations effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid capabilities in BOQ preparation and Cost Planning to support accurate quantity take-offs and early-stage project estimates.
- Candidates should possess experience in Cost Reporting to prepare periodic financial and progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related construction discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other shop drawing tools; familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, materials, and methods, particularly in building projects.
- Good analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical office and site teams.
- Previous experience in a technical office or quantity surveying role within the construction industry in Egypt is preferred.
