Are you passionate about agriculture, environmental sustainability and creating positive change? Do you enjoy bringing people, projects and ideas together to deliver meaningful impact?
LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) is looking for a Technical Officer to join our Innovation & Knowledge Exchange team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects and programmes that help farmers adopt more sustainable practices.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of agriculture, environmental science or sustainable farming who enjoys working across a range of projects, building relationships and turning technical knowledge into practical solutions.
About the Role
As Technical Officer, you will support the delivery of LEAF’s sustainable farming programmes, working closely with colleagues, farmers, researchers, funders, partners and wider stakeholders.
You will help coordinate projects from planning through to delivery, monitor progress and budgets, contribute to reporting and impact analysis, and support the development of technical resources and events that showcase sustainable farming in action.
This is a varied and collaborative role, requiring someone who can combine technical knowledge with strong organisation, communication and project coordination skills.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting the delivery of technical projects and programmes to agreed objectives, timescales and budgets.
- Coordinating project activities, tracking progress and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing reports, resources and communications that demonstrate the impact of LEAF’s work.
- Supporting events, workshops and knowledge exchange activities.
- Building positive relationships with farmers, members, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of LEAF’s sustainable farming resources and services.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Knowledgeable and motivated to advance sustainable farming and environmental issues.
- Experienced in coordinating projects and managing competing priorities.
- Comfortable working with technical information, data and reporting.
- A confident communicator who can build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team.
- Analytical, practical and solutions-focused, with excellent attention to detail.
You will ideally have a degree or equivalent experience in agriculture, environmental science or a related discipline.

Location:
Hybrid working (minimum one day per week at LEAF office, currently Friday)
Hours:
Full-time (9-5, five days per week)
Salary:
£27,500 per annum
