Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role
Are you a proven technical leader with deep expertise in Microsoft ecosystems, cloud platforms, and managed service delivery?
We are seeking a Technical Service Operations Manager to take the reins of our technical service delivery and operational performance. Reporting directly to the CTO, this high-visibility role bridges the gap between deep technical execution, strategic team leadership, and commercial pre-sales support.
You will act as the senior technical authority across our service portfolio, leading both onshore and offshore teams to deliver exceptional, secure, and customer-centric managed services.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Technical Excellence: Serve as the senior technical authority for Microsoft technologies across the business, setting standards, governing best practices, and guiding cloud architecture decisions (Azure, AWS).
- Lead & Inspire Teams: Direct line-manage and mentor technical service teams across onshore and offshore locations, fostering high engagement, consistent quality, and operational consistency.
- Support Commercial Growth: Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to design client solutions and produce high-impact responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Champion Security & Infrastructure: Oversee network infrastructure operations and embed robust cyber security risk management practices across all service delivery.
- Deliver Outstanding Customer Experience: Instill a customer-first mindset across all operations, ensuring our managed services consistently exceed client expectations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
