Job Description

Supporting our e-fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer-specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

As Technical Operations Support, you will play a vital role in providing a knowledgeable, solutions-based approach to ensure the smooth day to day running of the technical function in the warehouse.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00 - 06:00

Salary: Up to £28,318 + £2,000 night premium per annum DOE

Key Duties of Operations Support

  • Work closely with 3rd parties on external systems
  • Assisting the Picking and Packing Team by providing Engineering solutions to assist in an Operational capacity.
  • Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and complete repairs with little disruption to the Operational schedules.
  • Look for opportunities to continuously improve performance.
  • Follow set procedures and guidelines with respect to Health and Safety and COMAH Regulations.
  • Ensure good working practices and housekeeping are adhered to.
  • Providing weekly reports to management team on status of operational equipment.
  • Proactively make recommendations regarding the equipment to meet the site operational requirements and future development.

Qualifications

You will be expected to demonstrate competence in the following areas:

  • Label Printer set-up and maintenance
  • Network patching of laptops and printer to pack benches
  • Systems/Peripheral Configuration
  • Local Control of IT Asset Management
  • General Troubleshooting and Fault Finding

Technical knowledge is desirable in the following areas: (External Systems)

  • Printer Management
  • Device Management
  • Staff Maintenance (such as passwords and access levels)
  • Cubiscan Maintenance
  • Conveyor systems
  • Patching of Dumb Terminals and Printers

Experience in working with the following equipment is desirable:

  • Checkweighers
  • Pallet wrapping
  • Shrink wrapping
  • Various bespoke hand packing/labelling lines with printers
  • MCS
