The purpose of the role

Work as a member of a team to achieve departmental objectives and performance targets by safely and effectively undertaking duties and process operation and maintenance. Provide assistance to the Team Leader by carrying out activities such as coordinating labor and material movements, operating systems, and resolving process issues. Must also facilitate CI activities and forward plan to optimize the processes.

Responsibilities

• Stands in for the Team Leader, when necessary; during planned absence such as training and holiday. Note: This role requires that the individual’s holiday is not planned at the same time as the responsible Team Leader.

  • Adhere to and manage Food Safety practices, SOP’s, HACCP controls, and good manufacturing practice to ensure safe, high-quality products.

  • Improve all aspects of the department by individually contributing ideas and facilitating team activities.
  • Ensure smooth running of the department by taking up tasks through request, experience, or own initiative.
  • Champion Company standards and provide a point of reference to others.
  • Co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of the operational plan.
• Plant:
  • Identify and solve problems online with the ability to direct colleagues towards solutions.
  • Carry out detailed changeover / handovers to enhance the department's performance.
  • Understand department and Company KPIs and coordinate activities to deliver and improve them.
  • Share your knowledge with others by supporting them to achieve the operating standards.
  • Co-ordinate / take responsibility for department projects and trials with your colleagues.
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of processes or a limited range in particular depth.
  • Complete relevant documentation in a timely, conscientious, and accurate manner.
