Technical Operator Opportunity
A great opportunity to work as a Technical Operator for our client's site based in Worksop.
Hours of Work
Rotational shifts:
- 6am to 2pm
- 2pm to 10pm
- 10pm to 6am
Rate of Pay
Pre 12 weeks:
- Monday to Friday - £17.02
- Monday to Saturday - £20.32
- Sunday - £23.62
Post 12 weeks:
- Monday to Friday - £26.20
- Monday to Saturday - £33.66
- Sunday - £33.66
Your Time at Work
Safety:
- Understand and follow all Company Safety Procedures and adhere to processes, procedures, and guidelines that are in place, including and not limited to: Personal Protective Equipment; accident/incident reporting; first aid; manual handling ALARP (Risk Assessment) and evacuation procedures.
- Challenge non-compliance to H&S and raise when necessary and/or speak to a Safety Representative.
- Understand and apply correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Identify safety hazards and potential issues on the line.
- Be able to identify and safely use stop buttons.
- Have an awareness of COSHH.
- Direct responsibility for other people's safety.
Production:
- Participate in the successful running of the production line in order to meet targets.
- Have awareness of business demands and an understanding of the site strategy and how the team fits into the long-term plan.
- Carry out checks to ensure line runs at optimum settings and actively seek ways to improve performance.
- Contribute to the decision-making process.
- Support the successful running of the production line in order to meet targets.
- Understand and meet output targets through monitoring production and attending to any basic line maintenance issues.
- Use fault finding skills to ensure smooth and efficient operation of work area and source preventative measures.
- Understand the running of the line and the names and roles of the main pieces of equipment, as well as being able to identify and report faults on equipment.
- Use of forklift trucks as required and always in a safe manner.
- Work with colleagues to achieve the daily planning schedule and service other department's requirements.
- Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained by following operational procedures including ensuring appropriate stock rotation and traceability.
- Check and accurately complete required paperwork or related systems as necessary.
- Carry out any reasonable management request.

Quality:
- Understand and apply the Company Quality standards and practices that are in place including and not limited to: jewellery, glass and glass/like materials policy. (The quality responsibilities of all operators are outlined in the Corporate Technical Standards (CTS)).
- Be able to complete running checks on the line i.e. checking product codes and seals, product quality and allergen control.
- Report quality issues to line manager.
- Apply personal hygiene standards at all times.
- Maintain departmental GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and general hygiene standards at all times.
- Maintain good housekeeping ensuring that the work area is always clean; tools are correctly cleaned and stored; spillages are cleaned up immediately and defects reported.
- Have an awareness of HACCP.
