✈️ Technical Planning Manager | Willis Aviation Services Limited

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Planning Manager to join our growing Aircraft Maintenance & Storage team at Willis Aviation Services Limited (WASL), based at Teesside International Airport.

This is a key role responsible for the effective planning and coordination of aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring work is achievable, appropriately resourced and delivered in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

The Role

As Technical Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and coordinating aircraft maintenance activities and workscopes.
  • Liaising with customers, CAMOs, OEMs and internal stakeholders to ensure maintenance requirements are understood and achievable.
  • Developing and maintaining planning, work package and maintenance data control processes in line with Part-145 requirements.
  • Preparing, reviewing and controlling maintenance work packages.
  • Ensuring the required manpower, hangar space, tooling, equipment, parts, materials and technical data are available.
  • Coordinating external services such as NDT and tooling support.
  • Reviewing completed work packages and electronic maintenance records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing the archiving and submission of completed maintenance records.
  • Providing technical services and supporting ongoing maintenance activities where required.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Part-66 AML, Aeronautical Degree or equivalent qualification in Planning / Project Management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness environment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Part-145 and MOE requirements.
  • Practical knowledge of aviation safety standards and safe maintenance practices.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to aircraft types within the WASL MOE.
  • Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) and EWIS training.
  • Good English language proficiency.
