Technical Plant Engineer - Processing

Location

Can be based anywhere in the UK but will require national travel 2-3 days per week on sites (2 days WFH)

37.5 hours Monday - Friday

About The Role

What will you be doing?

This engineering role offers the opportunity to work closely with technical specialists, site management teams, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You’ll provide day-to-day technical support, help solve operational challenges, and contribute to projects that improve performance, reliability, and sustainability across our sites.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Providing technical support to energy, alternative energy, and processing facilities across the UK.
  • Collaborating with technical teams, site leaders, and stakeholders to maintain high operational standards.
  • Supporting the resolution of site-based engineering and technical issues.
  • Assisting with project management activities, including equipment upgrades and improvement initiatives.
  • Promoting safe working practices, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What are the requirements?

We’re looking for a Chartered Engineer, or someone working towards chartership, who is passionate about engineering, sustainability, and making a positive impact. Whether you're an experienced professional or building on a strong early-career foundation, we’ll support your continued development through learning opportunities, collaboration, and real responsibility.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Bring

  • Experience within a process, power, waste management, or heavy engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance requirements, and management systems.
  • A degree or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • An understanding of project management principles and experience supporting engineering projects.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
