Vista Aircraft Maintenance

Vista Aircraft Maintenance provides both line and base maintenance for the fleet. The team ensures aircraft safety, reliability, and availability through rigorous standards, proactive maintenance, and a global network of facilities.

Vista Aircraft Maintenance

We are recruiting experienced Aircraft Mechanics to join our teams in Farnborough. You will be responsible for carrying out non-certifying aircraft maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks in accordance with company procedures, safety regulations, and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and/or EASA Part-145 requirements. The Aircraft Mechanic supports Aircraft Managers and Licensed Aircraft Engineers by performing both line and base maintenance to ensure aircraft are airworthy and ready for operation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Technical Services Manager
  • Providing ROM figures for the Production Plan after initial request by Technical Planning Engineer
  • Raising/revising quotes/workpacks (Work Orders) within the ERP system, including but not limited to labour review, warranty/service plan review and adding notes where necessary
  • Raising/revising of the physical workpacks; including but not limited to printing company task cards, editing and printing maintenance data
  • Ability to review/understand Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins and their applicability to the input being quoted/performed
  • Creating new and modifying existing templates (canned squawks); including labour, parts, tooling, instructions, services, panel/interior/component access and notes
  • AMP revision update in the ERP system
  • Template (canned squawks) feedback process. Investigating and then approving/rejecting changes requested by the Engineers, Mechanics etc to the templates
  • Monitoring and keeping updated the maintenance data on the company servers (with the help of IT)
  • Monitoring and distributing new ADs for the approved fleet
  • Quote/workpack tracking document (virtual board) maintained to reflect the status of each input/request and allocation of workload according to priority to team members with the ability to provide historical/trend data (if required)
  • Completion of the physical workpack tracking document (for Tech Records)
  • Writing and keeping updated user guides/TPMs for the Technical Preparation department
  • Feeding back to the CAMO any maintenance data errors identified from the provided data
  • Providing budget figure assistance to the Technical Services Manager

Required Skills, Qualifications, And Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with the with the ability to interface across technical functions
  • Interpreting and documenting technical data from various sources

Basic Requirements

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering or technical services, preferably within Part 145, Part M or OEM environment
  • Thorough understanding of PART 145, in particular 145.A.47 and basic understanding of PART M
  • Previous exposure to proposal writing, tendering or project estimation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software
  • Read and write in fluent English

The Technical Preparation Engineer

The Technical Preparation Engineer is responsible for developing, reviewing and issuing proposals and work packs (work orders) for Base Maintenance, whilst also ensuring that the Company ERP system is optimised for the pre-production, scheduling, monitoring and performance of the Part 145 Base maintenance activities through templates (canned squawks) for Vista Aircraft Maintenance Farnborough.
