Technical Product Marketing Manager
Manchester | Hybrid – 2 days onsite / 3 days remote | Up to £70,000
We’re looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to join a growing technology business, sitting at the intersection of product, marketing and sales.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can understand technical products and translate that knowledge into compelling messaging, sales tools and go-to-market strategies. You’ll work closely with the Head of Product Marketing to help define the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), strengthen product positioning and give the sales team everything they need to effectively take products to market.
The ideal candidate will have experience within technology, IT hardware, OEM, SaaS or cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of how technical products are positioned and sold.
We’d also consider someone who has previously worked in a technical sales role and is looking to move into product marketing.
What you'll be doing
- Working alongside the Head of Product Marketing to define and refine the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Developing product positioning, messaging and value propositions for technical audiences
- Translating complex technical features into clear, compelling customer-facing propositions
- Supporting sales enablement through the creation of pitch materials, presentations, battlecards, product guides and other sales collateral
- Working closely with Sales to understand customer needs, objections and market feedback
- Supporting go-to-market strategies for new and existing products
- Conducting market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities and differentiators
- Working closely with Product, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure consistent product messaging
- Helping develop customer personas and understand different buying audiences
- Gathering customer and market insight and feeding this back into product and commercial strategy
- Supporting product launches and ongoing campaigns
- Acting as a bridge between technical teams and commercial stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
