Job Title: Technical Product Manager
Location: Remote role with occasional travel for meetings
Contract Type: Permanent
Summary
The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap while working closely with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver high-quality technology products. The role involves translating business needs into technical requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring successful product delivery. A strong understanding of software development, product lifecycle management, and stakeholder engagement is essential. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and business objectives to drive product success.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and user stories.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Manage product backlog and prioritize features based on value and impact.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure timely delivery of product features and releases.
- Analyze product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, QA, and operations.
- Support go-to-market strategies and product launches.
- Maintain product documentation and roadmaps.
- Stay updated with market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical environment.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with APIs, system architecture, and cloud technologies is a plus.
- Experience working in the UK Public Sector is a plus.
