The role
Own the roadmap for Wayve’s development and experimentation vehicle platforms—where software, hardware, and operations meet to make rapid iteration possible. You’ll partner across engineering, program management, and internal teams to turn platform requirements into scalable capabilities that accelerate experiments, data collection, and deployments. This is a hands-on, high-trust role focused on making smart tradeoffs and delivering platforms that enable Wayve’s priorities (and, where relevant, customer programs) to move faster and more reliably.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve the roadmap for development & experimentation vehicle platform features.
- Gather and prioritize requirements across engineering, program management, and internal customers; translate them into clear workflows, specs, and measurable success criteria.
- Define and track platform product KPIs; maintain a cohesive view of current capabilities and what’s next.
- Make product tradeoffs and manage stakeholder expectations across teams with competing priorities.
- Reduce time-to-debug, deploy experiments, and access data by improving tooling and processes.
- Drive reuse and scalability of capabilities across reference vehicles and customer programs; minimize one-off configurations.
- Improve consistency between internal development environments and customer-operated workflows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
