Role Overview

We build the embodied intelligence that moves real vehicles safely, and the ecosystem a billion machines will run on in the future. Very few people in AI can say this. Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that.

Here’s what this particular role covers.

🛠️ About Our Platform Product Teams

Wayve’s development and experimentation vehicle platforms bring software, hardware and operations together to make rapid iteration possible. These platforms enable our teams to run experiments, collect data and deploy new capabilities faster and more reliably.

As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll own the roadmap for these platforms, partnering across engineering, program management and internal teams to translate their needs into scalable capabilities. Where relevant, you’ll also support customer programs, ensuring platform capabilities can be reused rather than rebuilt for each deployment.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role where you’ll make meaningful product tradeoffs, balance competing priorities and help build platforms that accelerate Wayve’s development.

🧠 Your day-to-day

  • Own and evolve the roadmap for development and experimentation vehicle platform features.
  • Gather and prioritise requirements across engineering, program management and internal customers, translating them into clear workflows, specifications and measurable success criteria.
  • Define and track platform product KPIs, maintaining a cohesive view of current capabilities and what’s coming next.
  • Make product tradeoffs and manage stakeholder expectations across teams with competing priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution, helping teams resolve dependencies and deliver complex, interconnected capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tooling and processes so teams can debug issues, deploy experiments and access data more efficiently.

🧩 What You’ll Be Working On

  • Development and experimentation platforms: Shape the capabilities that enable faster experiments, data collection and deployments across Wayve.
  • Scalable platform capabilities: Drive reuse across reference vehicles and customer programs, reducing one-off configurations and building for scale.
  • Developer and operational workflows: Improve the tools and processes that connect software, hardware and operations, reducing friction and time-to-debug.
  • Platform performance and priorities: Establish meaningful KPIs and use them to guide roadmap decisions, balancing capability, reliability and delivery needs.
  • Consistent internal and customer experiences: Improve alignment between internal development environments and customer-operated workflows, making capabilities easier to adopt and support.

🙌 You should apply if

  • You have 5+ years of experience shipping autonomy or autonomous vehicle features end-to-end, from concept through integration, validation and release.
  • You have 2+ years of hands-on experience with embedded platforms, including direct involvement in architecture, development and validation.
  • You bring strong systems thinking and can assess how platform changes affect downstream development, data, tooling and operations.
  • You have a track record of coordinating cross-functional execution across multiple teams to deliver complex, interdependent programs.
  • You’re a strong stakeholder manager who can influence decisions and challenge respectfully, from engineering teams through to leadership.
  • You thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments with evolving priorities, bringing momentum and calm without adding unnecessary process.
  • You’re resourceful, pragmatic and focused on outcomes.
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It Would Also Be Great If You Bring

  • Experience owning or scaling developer or operations tooling and processes in complex hardware-and-software environments.
  • Exposure to data feedback loops, data collection and fleet operations in autonomous vehicle contexts.
  • Experience working with external customers or partner programs, translating their needs into reusable product workflows.
  • Familiarity with automotive real-time environments, AI compute platforms and sensors.

🌱 Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! If you’re passionate about autonomy and keen to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.

More About Wayve

🚀 Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency. We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines.

Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve’s mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility.
