Technical Project Manager

An established technology business specialising in intelligent building management and connected estate solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex, customer-facing projects. The role will manage projects from initial scope validation and mobilisation through to installation, commissioning, customer acceptance and handover into support.

Working across retail, commercial, industrial and facilities management environments, the successful candidate will coordinate customers, contractors, controls specialists, facilities teams and technical stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to lead multi-site BMS and building services projects while joining a growing organisation offering significant career development and technical upskilling opportunities.

  • Proven project management experience within BMS, building services, facilities management, HVAC, energy management, connected estates, IoT or a closely related technical environment
  • Strong understanding of the BMS project lifecycle, including surveys, site readiness, installation, commissioning, optimisation and handover
  • Experience managing technical projects from initial scope validation through to customer acceptance and closure
  • Knowledge of BMS architecture, HVAC plant, controls, metering, lighting systems, refrigeration interfaces or energy monitoring
  • Ability to coordinate multiple contractors, controls engineers, suppliers, facilities teams and customer stakeholders
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and site-readiness trackers
  • Strong project governance skills, including RAID management, change control, issue resolution and structured reporting
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, supplier costs and project variations
  • Experience delivering projects across multiple sites or technical workstreams simultaneously
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into clear actions and decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, Excel, Planner, Project and SharePoint
  • A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP or AgilePM would be advantageous
  • Experience delivering multi-site retail or commercial rollouts would be beneficial
