Make an Impact at RSM UK

The Technical Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s managed pay and people technology solutions are technically well-defined, deliverable, secure, maintainable and aligned with business priorities. Working closely with the Business Product Owner, the role translates business requirements into technically actionable delivery work and ensures that internal development teams have the clarity, context and direction needed to deliver effective solutions.

The Technical Product Owner acts as the bridge between business priorities and technical execution. The role provides product and technical leadership across the delivery lifecycle, helping to shape solution options, manage technical dependencies, support backlog refinement, and ensure that delivered changes are robust, scalable and fit for use in a professional services managed payroll environment.

You will make an impact by

  • Partner with the Business Product Owner and stakeholders to understand business priorities, client requirements and desired outcomes, providing guidance on technical feasibility, risks, dependencies and delivery options.
  • Translate business requirements into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised backlog items, ensuring work is understood, sequenced and ready for delivery.
  • Collaborate with development, testing and operations teams to design, deliver and support sustainable technical solutions aligned with architectural, security, data protection and operational standards.
  • Lead technical delivery activities across the product lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, dependency management, release planning and the resolution of technical constraints and risks.
  • Validate delivered solutions against agreed requirements, while driving continuous improvement through the management of technical debt, incident learning, defect triage and clear stakeholder communication.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
