Job Description
Job Title: Technical Product Specialist - Salesforce
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract for 5 months
Salary: £57,113.64 Per Annum (£63,125.60 is achieved after 12 successful performance in the role) Per Annum
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Hybrid
Location: Speke, Liverpool

The difference you will make as a Technical Product Specialist - Salesforce
Riverside Digital and Technology embeds DevOps as a key method of its delivery approach and principles, the value that it delivers relies on maintaining a certain cadence, so the role holder will make sure that all members of their DevOps Chapter work well together to deliver that value.
In this role, you will be responsible for product analysis, design, and implementation of technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem to meet our business needs. As a Technical Product Specialist, you will play a critical role in Salesforce projects, translating business requirements system configuration, customisation and ongoing support. You will leverage your expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, understand integrations with other enterprise systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential in translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring that end-users are supported.
Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing best practices, and helping ensure Salesforce related projects are delivered to successful completion. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Salesforce, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that drive business success.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant IT qualifications, equivalent to Batchelors Degree or above.
- Experience in product analysis, technical specifications and design.
- Proven Salesforce knowledge across Salesforce Service, Non-Profit and Experience Cloud.

Role Profile
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical user story specifications for Salesforce solutions.
- Translate and manage continuous improvement requirements through the Salesforce backlog.
- Work as part of a cross-functional squad with responsibility for supporting the design and configuration of Salesforce products, services and capabilities through product analysis and design.
- Configure and customise Salesforce to align with business processes and requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, customisations, and processes.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and optimisations, implementing best practices to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Help perform testing as required of any internal configuration or customisations and collaborate with Change Leads and QA Analysts to ensure QA standards are met across performance and volume testing, systems integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Manage key risks and issues, establishing risk mitigation or acceptance by accountable stakeholders.
- Provide service and support including service requests, incidents, problem and change, proactively managing performance, availability and resilience.
- Deliver the Salesforce platform releases, identifying any technology or methodology changes that will impact assigned modules or business areas, and championing the approval, prioritisation and adoption of enhancements.
- Manage Salesforce as a vendor through proactive relationships with service, account management and customer success teams, and manage Salesforce partners across development and support activities.
- Be responsible for the Audit and compliance of the system, ensuring Salesforce good practice is met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and principles across logical access and change management.
- Ensure that all information security requirements, including data protection, are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities, undertake other duties when required and participate in an on-call rota if required.
- Support training and communication needs to ensure users maximise their knowledge.
- Continuously develop knowledge and experience as a SME in Salesforce Service Cloud, Non-Profit Cloud and Experience Cloud.

Essential
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Relevant IT qualifications, equivalent to Batchelors Degree or above.
- Experience in product analysis, technical specifications and design.
- Proven Salesforce knowledge across Salesforce Service, Non-Profit and Experience Cloud.
- Experience supporting Salesforce CRM and Portal functions across medium to large-scale Salesforce implementations.
- Experience across Waterfall, Agile and DevOps approaches and methodologies.
- Knowledge of data migration, integration, test and release strategies in relation to Salesforce.
- Experience of developing Salesforce dashboards and reports.
- Knowledge of the Salesforce platform release cycle and key activities.
- Proven experience of working with Salesforce as a vendor.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team focused on product configuration and enhancement.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in identifying and defining benefits for product development projects.
- Experience of supporting the definition of business cases and supporting deep dives into operational areas to help identify waste and value for money opportunities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the resilience and persistence to make change happen.
Desirable
- Salesforce certifications or Trailhead awards.
