About the Role

Hillsong UK is seeking an experienced and passionate Technical Production Manager to join our Production Team. This role plays a vital part in delivering excellent technical production across Sunday services, midweek gatherings, conferences, and major events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing development of production systems and workflows, while equipping and developing volunteer teams to create sustainable, high-quality production environments across Hillsong UK locations.

What You'll Be Doing

Production Systems & Technical Leadership

  • Design and develop sustainable production systems and workflows across Hillsong UK locations.
  • Maintain and improve audio, video, lighting, and broadcast systems.
  • Bring creativity and innovation to production elements within services and events.
  • Provide technical expertise and support across multiple locations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, plans, and training resources.
  • Contribute to equipment maintenance planning, servicing schedules, and future technology investments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and operational efficiency.

Volunteer Development

  • Recruit, train, equip, and support volunteer production teams.
  • Develop training resources, including written guides and video tutorials.
  • Create opportunities for team growth, development, and community.
  • Coordinate volunteer training events, team nights, and social gatherings.

Sunday Services

  • Oversee the setup, operation, and pack-down of production systems.
  • Provide technical leadership for Dominion production teams.
  • Ensure all media assets and technical requirements are prepared and available.
  • Support effective communication and coordination across production teams.
  • Work closely with volunteer coordinators to maintain team schedules and communication.

Events & Conferences

  • Support the technical planning and delivery of conferences, special events, and midweek gatherings.
  • Coordinate equipment preparation, logistics, and transportation requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout event preparation and delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in technical production, live events, broadcast production, or a related field.
  • Significant experience with DiGiCo and Allen & Heath audio systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Blackmagic Design video systems.
  • Experience with broadcast cameras and LED screen technologies.
  • Good working knowledge of GrandMA lighting systems.
  • Experience delivering live-streamed services and events.
  • Strong understanding of Dante networking.
  • Experience leading and developing teams and volunteers.

Skills

  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks.
  • Familiarity with schematic software such as Lucidchart.
  • Experience with QLab programming.
  • Strong knowledge of ProPresenter 6 and ProPresenter 7.
  • Understanding of YouTube and Vimeo live-streaming platforms.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop volunteers effectively.
