About the Company

Our client, a leading arts and entertainment venue, is seeking an experienced Technical Production Manager to join its Production and Technical team.

About the Role

The role will lead the technical planning and delivery of events within the organisation’s principal auditorium, working closely with Event Managers and specialist audio, lighting, video, rigging and stage teams. The successful candidate will manage the technical advance for assigned productions, coordinate complex event logistics and ensure that plans are delivered effectively on event days. This is a varied role suited to a multi-skilled production professional with strong client management, technical planning and problem-solving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical planning and delivery of assigned events within the auditorium.
  • Advance audio, lighting, video, staging and other technical requirements.
  • Coordinate technical activity across internal departments, external suppliers, promoters and clients.
  • Plan and oversee complex load-ins and load-outs across the venue.
  • Compile and distribute clear technical advancing documentation.
  • Assess equipment specifications, technical feasibility and venue logistics.
  • Liaise confidently with promoters, clients and production representatives.
  • Attend events to ensure technical plans are executed effectively.
  • Support internal and external teams with event-day changes and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Contribute to ongoing technical innovation and service improvement.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in technical production management within live events, entertainment or a comparable venue environment.
  • A multi-disciplinary technical background.
  • Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, video, staging and related event logistics.
  • Good understanding of venue management and complex production operations.
  • Experience planning and overseeing large-scale load-ins and load-outs.
  • Ability to produce concise and accurate technical documentation.
  • Confidence liaising with promoters, clients, suppliers and technical teams.
  • Experience evaluating equipment specifications and technical feasibility.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain focused and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and attentiveness when responding to changing event requirements.
  • Availability to attend assigned events and support their on-site delivery.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Salary: £36,000–£40,000 per annum
  • Location: London
  • Working Arrangement: On-site
  • Contract: Full-time, fixed-term contract from 1 September 2026 to 11 January 2027
