Technical Program Manager – Enabling Technology | London
Location: London, UK
Type: Full-Time
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a SC
Most TPM roles ask you to track progress and run standups. This one's different.
We're a defence technology company working on some genuinely hard problems - autonomous aerial systems, perception, command and control.
We need someone who can own a capability area from the ground up. That means shaping what gets built, securing the funding to build it, and seeing it all the way through into the programs that depend on it.
You'll be based in London, working closely with our US teams on a shared technical baseline while making sure the right elements stay developed and controlled in country. It's a role that sits at the intersection of engineering and program leadership and you'll need to be comfortable on both sides of that line.

Day to day you'll be:
- Leading cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and systems engineering
- Building and defending IRAD funding submissions through senior leadership review
- Coordinating test events from HIL simulation through to live flight on rotorcraft and UAS
- Acting as the main point of contact between engineering, program stakeholders, and customers in the UK
- Getting ahead of technical, programmatic, and export control risks before they become problems
You'll need:
- A degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 8+ years in engineering, systems integration, or technical program management
- Genuine technical depth — enough to interrogate a design, spot risk, and push back when needed
- Solid experience working within export control and security classification constraints
- Working knowledge of UK export control including SPIRE, OGELs, F680, and the UK Military List
- A track record of delivering for UK MOD or similar regulated environments
- Eligibility for UK SC clearance as a minimum

Great if you also have:
- Experience running an IRAD or R&D portfolio through stage-gate reviews
- A background in effectors, munitions, or weapons systems
- Time spent on rotorcraft, VTOL, or uncrewed air systems programs
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Jama, or MBSE approaches
