About Ocean Infinity

At Ocean Infinity, we're on a bold mission to revolutionize subsea data using innovative technology.

Using cutting-edge robotics, autonomous technology, and world-class software, we're transforming how complex operations are carried out at sea. Our uncrewed systems are making ocean exploration and operations safer, smarter, and more sustainable, helping unlock the vast potential of our oceans while reducing environmental impact. 🌍

This isn't a vision for the future. It's happening right now.

As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and redefine what's possible in the maritime industry, we're looking for exceptional talent to join our fast-growing team.

About the Role

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Technical Program Manager to sit within the Software Engineering organisation and own how software delivery runs across our most complex product and engineering programs. This is a senior, delivery-focused role with a strong technical footing. You are technically fluent enough to earn the trust of engineers, operate with a high degree of independence, and are trusted to define what good delivery looks like and hold teams and stakeholders to it.

You will report to the Director of Software Engineering, work closely with Product and senior leadership, partner directly with engineering managers and tech leads across the teams, and drive alignment across the IT, CyberSec, Data Platform, and Robotics & Autonomy organisations. The role suits someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure where there is none, and takes genuine ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the delivery of the most complex, cross-team software programs against milestones, actively managing delivery against timelines and making trade-offs between time, quality, and risk through each development cycle.
  • Define what good delivery looks like across the organisation: set the standards, cadences, and success criteria, not just track them.
  • Keep delivery predictable. When timelines slip, diagnose the root cause and drive it to resolution rather than just reporting status.
  • Work directly with engineering teams on ways of working, sprint health, and delivery practices, surfacing risks and testing assumptions where complexity threatens delivery.
  • Drive alignment and manage dependencies with the IT, CyberSec, Data Platform, and Robotics & Autonomy organisations, keeping cross-organisation work moving and unblocking delivery that depends on them.
  • Drive the resolution of architecture and dependency decisions that block delivery, bringing the right senior engineers together to reach a clear call.
  • Translate high-level business objectives into clear, meaningful plans that development teams can act on.
  • Own the delivery of cross-team initiatives end to end, identifying dependencies, surfacing blockers early, and keeping programmes on track.
  • Coordinate planning cycles and periodic reviews with the Director of Software Engineering, and contribute to how the wider organisation plans and prioritises.
  • Run capacity and resource planning across the teams: understand strengths, spot gaps, and help put the right people on the right work.
  • Track and report on delivery and operational health to senior leadership, presenting risks, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly and early.
  • Partner with and mentor engineering managers and tech leads, strengthening delivery practices and ways of working across their teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
