I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you will do:

  • Be the key day-to-day, week-to-week delivery partner from Data & AI on a specific AI product(s) serving customers and/or colleagues.
  • Translate outcomes and vision into a clear plan that you own and maintain, that teams can execute on and stakeholders can understand. Make progress and the journey visible through clear reporting and engagement mechanisms that leaders and teams trust.
  • Keep delivery moving forward and evolving – proactively reshaping or reactively responding, removing blockers and dependencies, and tracking key risks to protect timelines and outcomes. Embed and maintain key discipline in ways of working – that purposefully evolve with key lessons learnt and pragmatic requirements of delivering in that specific space.
  • Deliver on key project outcomes, but more importantly measurable business impact.
  • Build bridges between stakeholders and teams, and proactively navigate competing priorities and ways of working opportunities.
