About the job
Own the infrastructure that turns ambitious AI systems into reliable, testable hardware at global scale.
As Technical Program Manager, you will lead Graphcore’s global lab and data center infrastructure programs from Bristol. You will be our client-side owner’s representative across builds, expansions, upgrades and retrofits.
You will take programs from requirements and site selection through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness. Your decisions will shape the power, cooling, networking and high-density compute environments our engineers depend on.
You will also keep engineering labs effective day to day, enabling system bring-up, testing and rapid experimentation. You will connect infrastructure, hardware deployment and operational processes across multiple locations.
This is a rare chance to shape how Graphcore builds and scales mission-critical infrastructure for high-density AI workloads.
The team and culture
You will work across Systems Engineering, hardware engineering, IT, facilities, EHS and finance, alongside specialist external vendors. Together, you will turn complex engineering requirements into clear infrastructure priorities and delivery plans.
You will own schedules, budgets, dependencies and risks, driving decisions and issues through to resolution. Expect high ownership, direct communication and the freedom to speak up when better solutions are possible.
You will help establish consistent standards across Graphcore locations while responding to each site’s engineering needs. The work rewards people who think big, act quickly and take responsibility for outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
