Referment is working with a smart-building technology company whose connected water-management system is installed in new and existing residential and commercial buildings. The product helps property operators detect leaks, reduce water waste and manage risk, and deployments involve developers, main contractors, M&E consultants, building managers and end clients.
This role owns delivery from signed contract through commissioning and handover. You will plan installations, coordinate site teams, keep customers informed and resolve issues before they disrupt the programme. The work spans UK projects and early international proof-of-concept deployments, so it suits a project manager who is equally comfortable with detailed documentation, stakeholder conversations and time on site.
The Role
- Manage installations end to end, covering scope, planning, scheduling, mobilisation, execution, commissioning and handover.
- Act as the delivery contact for developers, contractors, consultants, building managers and customers, providing clear status and decisions.
- Coordinate installers, subcontractors and site teams, ensuring work is prepared, completed and closed out properly.
- Run early proof-of-concept deployments in new international markets before local delivery capacity is established.
- Prepare and maintain RAMS, scopes of work, programmes, O&M manuals, site reports and handover packs.
- Identify programme risks and practical issues early, resolve them where possible and escalate with a clear recommendation when needed.
- Build templates, checklists and operating procedures that make future deployments more consistent.
- Use AI and modern delivery tools to improve documentation, customer updates, meeting preparation and project control.

What We're Looking For
- At least five years in project management, ideally delivering technology into buildings or construction environments.
- A recognised project-management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ or PMP, backed by disciplined delivery practice.
- Strong understanding of construction and fit-out programmes, sequencing, snagging, commissioning and handover.
- Confidence working both on building sites and with senior customer stakeholders.
- Clear, structured communication and the ability to remain effective when projects encounter problems.
- Regular use of AI, Google Workspace, project-management platforms and modern documentation practices.
- Able to work full-time from a London office and travel regularly across the UK and internationally, including for extended early deployments.

Experience with smart-building systems, AV, controls, security, BMS, M&E, water or sustainability technology would be valuable. Delivery across both residential and commercial settings, or international project experience, is also useful.
