Productive Machines
Productive Machines develops advanced industrial software that improves machining performance, productivity, and manufacturing decision-making in complex production environments.
Our physics-AI technologies sit at the intersection of software, AI, engineering, and real-world machining production, helping manufacturers unlock machining capacity, reduce cycle times, eliminate chatter vibration, and improve process stability across high-value manufacturing operations.
We are a growing deep-tech company working with industrial customers, machine tool partners, and manufacturing organisations where projects must deliver measurable impact on the shop floor.
As we scale, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to help coordinate and deliver a mix of:
- customer-facing industrial pilot projects
- collaborative R&D programmes involving industrial and academic partners
- complex internal software and product delivery programmes
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role suited to someone who enjoys operating in fast-moving technical start-up environments and helping bring structure, momentum, and delivery focus across multidisciplinary teams.
The Role
You will act as a central coordination point across software engineering, product development, customers, manufacturing partners, and commercial teams. The role combines:
- technical project delivery
- customer coordination
- operational organisation
- stakeholder management
within a scaling industrial software business.
This is not a purely administrative PM role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
