Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £72,000.00 - £80,000.00
Location: EcoPark, Edmonton North London

About LondonEnergy:

LondonEnergy plays a vital role in managing North London's waste and supporting the circular economy. We process approximately 750,000 tonnes of waste each year as part of one of the largest waste contracts in the UK.

Through our waste-to-energy operations, we generate enough electricity to power approximately 80,000 homes annually, while also supporting reuse and recycling initiatives across North London.

As we continue to invest in new infrastructure, operational improvements and major strategic programmes, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to support the safe and successful delivery of projects across our waste management facilities.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead projects and workstreams across LondonEnergy's operational waste management facilities. Reporting to the Transition Manager, you will manage projects from concept and design through construction, commissioning and handover into live operations.

The role will have a strong focus on civil engineering and infrastructure works, including site upgrades, civil works, contractor-led projects and the integration of new or modified assets within busy operational environments.

Health and safety will be a key priority. You will ensure projects comply with CDM Regulations, LondonEnergy governance and Management of Change requirements, while providing practical technical oversight to ensure projects are safe, compliant, cost-effective and suitable for operational use.

This is a hands-on role requiring regular site presence at EcoPark and other project locations, particularly during construction, inspections, commissioning and key delivery stages. You will work closely with operations, contractors, consultants and internal technical teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
