Technical Project Manager – AI Research – 12-month contract – Central London

Join a team within the world’s biggest social media platform company for an intense and impact focused 12-month assignment during which you will be working with multidisciplinary teams of searchers, engineers, product, legal, and policy to build impactful relationships, serving as a point of contact and support cutting-edge research into future applications of AI.

What will be my responsibilities?

  • Work with researchers and cross-functional partners to communicate research plans, progress and results.
  • Prioritise and complete projects and tasks on time, providing stakeholders with status updates via metrics, risks and mitigations.
  • Translate strategy into a structured plan, setting up project structure autonomously using existing formats.
  • Connect project goals to team and organisation goals and communicate these to the team and leadership.
  • Use project structure to drive execution, focusing on key objectives and managing interdependencies, risks and reporting.
  • Understand the main impacts of project changes and support the team as needed.
  • Analyse data effectively and translate it into actionable steps. Provide input and recommendations to influence decisions and implement changes within the team with minimal guidance.
  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively in a timely manner.

What makes me eligible?

  • 2+ years’ experience in project management - managing remote or distributed teams in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining or artificial intelligence
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Direct experience in generative AI and LLM research is highly advantageous

This opportunity is a 12-month contract, hybrid – 3 days onsite in Kings Cross, London. Paying from £71,000 per annum pro rata. To hear more about this position or to discuss your suitability, please apply today!
