Technical Project Manager - London / Bracknell / Birmingham / Leeds / Manchester / Livingston - Hybrid - SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology projects across a large-scale enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Technical Project Manager to join a high-profile client programme, driving the planning, execution and delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
The successful Technical Project Manager will play a key role in managing cross-functional teams, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities as the Technical Project Manager:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects across infrastructure, cloud, applications, data and transformation initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource schedules, budgets and risk registers.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, developers, business analysts, vendors and third-party suppliers.
- Manage project governance, reporting and stakeholder communications at all levels of the organisation.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed methodologies, standards and best practices.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies to minimise delivery impact.
- Facilitate project meetings, steering groups, workshops and stakeholder reviews.
- Monitor project performance, progress and financials, providing accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and successfully delivered.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes and practices.
- Support change management and transition activities to ensure successful adoption of delivered solutions.
- Ensure compliance with organisational governance, security, risk and regulatory requirements.

As a successful Technical Project Manager, you will have:
- Proven experience working as a Technical Project Manager within complex enterprise environments.
- Extensive experience delivering technology projects across infrastructure, cloud, digital, software development or transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Experience managing project budgets, resources, timelines and vendor relationships.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong technical understanding of enterprise IT environments, infrastructure, cloud technologies and system integrations.
- Experience working with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences from technical teams through to senior executives.
- Strong risk, issue and dependency management capabilities.
- Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced and complex environments.
- Experience delivering projects within regulated or large-scale enterprise organisations is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM, Scrum Master or equivalent are advantageous.
