Position Description
At CGI, you’ll lead Microsoft 365 delivery at the heart of a major merger and integration programme, helping bring users, data and digital services together securely and effectively. As an M365 Technical Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of a complex tenant-to-tenant migration, coordinating specialists across Microsoft 365, information governance, cyber security, data and applications to deliver a controlled transition. You’ll use your technical understanding to anticipate dependencies, challenge delivery risks and find practical solutions in a fast-changing environment. Working alongside CGI experts, client teams and technology partners, you’ll have the support to make informed decisions while bringing structure, creativity and momentum to a transformation with significant business impact.
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
This role is a hybrid role but you will be expected to work on CGI and client sites in Aberdeen at least 3 days a week.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of the Microsoft 365 project within a major merger and integration programme, managing delivery across a large-scale tenant-to-tenant migration and subsequent integration. You’ll build and maintain the delivery plan, coordinate specialist teams and suppliers, and maintain a clear view of scope, budget, resources, milestones, risks, decisions and dependencies.
You’ll work across Microsoft 365, information governance, cyber security, data governance, applications and business change, supported by specialists from across CGI and the wider programme. Your technical credibility will enable you to ask the right questions, challenge progress constructively and translate complex delivery activity into clear decisions and updates for senior stakeholders. You’ll also help teams navigate migration readiness, cutover and stabilisation, finding practical solutions as priorities evolve.
- Lead & Deliver – Own the M365 project plan, scope, budget, resources, milestones, deliverables and outcomes within the wider integration programme.
- Migrate & Integrate – Coordinate tenant-to-tenant migration across SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online and associated M365 services.
- Plan & Govern – Maintain RAID logs, decision logs, dependency maps, action trackers and evidence-based project reporting.
- Coordinate & Align – Manage dependencies across information management, data migration, cyber security, data governance, applications and business change.
- Secure & Control – Coordinate requirements covering Entra ID, identity and access, permissions, retention, classification, GDPR and M365 security and compliance.
- Connect & Enable – Manage dependencies involving Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and wider business applications.
- Prepare & Transition – Drive target-tenant readiness, migration planning, cutover coordination, business validation, defect management and post-migration stabilisation.
- Engage & Influence – Facilitate technical workshops, readiness reviews and governance sessions with internal teams, partners and suppliers.
- Communicate & Clarify – Turn complex technical progress, risks and decisions into concise updates for programme, business and senior stakeholders.
- Support & Improve – Coordinate with change, communications and training teams to strengthen user readiness and adoption while continually improving delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
