Technical Project Manager (Release Train Engineer)

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager (Release Train Engineer) to join our team in London, United Kingdom in a hybrid working mode.

In this role, you will lead the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives for a high‑scale platform, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technology execution. You will be responsible for driving outcomes across multiple engineering teams, managing delivery risks, and maintaining quality and predictability. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of digital transformation programs by coordinating complex initiatives and fostering cross‑team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of strategic technology initiatives to ensure commitments are met on schedule and within agreed scope and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and execution roadmaps across multiple teams and workstreams
  • Drive program governance, progress tracking, and executive-level reporting
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, issues, and dependencies impacting program objectives
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders to align priorities and execution plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for smooth execution of development, testing, release, and production readiness activities
  • Establish delivery metrics and reporting mechanisms to provide transparency and predictability
  • Facilitate decision-making by providing delivery insights, impact assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensure effective release planning, environment readiness, and operational transition activities
  • Drive continuous improvements in delivery processes, engineering effectiveness, and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in technology delivery, program management, or software engineering leadership roles
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale software platforms and enterprise technology solutions
  • Strong experience working with Agile and modern software delivery methodologies
  • Experience using delivery management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and engineering practices
  • Experience delivering cloud-based and microservices-driven platforms
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data-driven approach

Nice to have

  • Experience within financial services, market data, exchange technology, or related domains
  • Exposure to large-scale platform modernization or cloud transformation initiatives
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and large-scale distributed systems
