Technical Project Manager (4 Positions Available)
Specialisms: Synthetics, ITEA, TLS, Process & Integration
Location: Reading (Minimum 50% onsite)
Rate: £70 per hour (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required (DV Clearance Preferred)
Nationality Requirement: Sole UK Nationals Only
Overview
We are seeking four experienced Technical Project Engineers / Managers to support the delivery of highly secure and complex aerospace and defence programmes. These opportunities are ideal for individuals with a strong background in technical project delivery within UK defence, Defence Digital, MOD, or aerospace environments.
You will act as the primary technical interface between engineering teams and programme delivery functions, ensuring projects are delivered successfully against scope, schedule, quality, and business objectives.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold active SC Clearance as a minimum. DV Clearance is highly desirable. Applicants must be sole UK nationals.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams and key stakeholders.
- Support the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects.
- Monitor and manage technical risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and technical roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and support first-level technical decision-making.
- Act as an escalation point for engineering and delivery-related challenges.
- Manage technical interfaces between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support project reporting, forecasting, performance tracking, and governance activities.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, processes, and quality requirements.
- Facilitate technical reviews, milestone assessments, and delivery readiness activities.
- Manage inputs to artefact and deliverable lifecycle management activities.
- Track progress against project objectives and delivery milestones.
- Support estimation, resource planning, workload prioritisation, and capacity management.
- Escalate schedule impacts, risks, and delivery concerns as required.
- Support configuration management and change control processes.
