Role: Technical Project Manager
Location: Peterborough, UK
Fixed term full time employment
Purpose
Own end-to-end engineering delivery across all workstreams and serve as the single engineering accountability point.
This engagement supports a business-critical programme commencing immediately and expected to run through 2027, with potential extension beyond. The project requires experienced Technical Project Managers across Peterborough/London to lead engineering delivery, platform development, integrations, and operational readiness. Resources must possess strong technical expertise and be capable of managing complex dependencies, identifying delivery risks, and driving successful end-to-end execution.

Additional requirement: TPMs must operate as systems thinkers and technical delivery leaders rather than traditional project coordinators. Resources should be capable of actively participating in architecture reviews, understanding complex technical discussions, challenging engineering assumptions, and independently assessing technical risks and delivery impacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Define engineering delivery strategy and execution model.
- Drive cross-workstream planning, sequencing, and dependency management.
- Resolve priority conflicts across engineering teams.
- Manage critical path, schedule risks, and technical escalations.
- Ensure architecture, delivery, and operational readiness remain aligned.
- Drive executive engineering reviews and status reporting.
- Coordinate planning, estimation, roadmaps, and milestone management.

Mandatory Technical Competencies
- Strong systems architecture understanding.
- Ability to challenge engineering estimates and assumptions.
- Deep knowledge of integration-based programs.
- Understanding of APIs, event-driven systems, cloud services, security, and data architectures.
