Technical & Quality Manager
On-Site | Monday to Friday | Full Time
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Technical & Quality Manager to join the leadership team of a successful manufacturing business. You’ll lead the technical function, with responsibility for food safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership position, working closely with Operations, Engineering, NPD and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the technical and quality function
- Maintain HACCP, Quality Management Systems and food safety standards
- Manage customer, regulatory and third-party audits
- Investigate complaints, non-conformances and quality issues, driving effective root cause analysis
- Develop technical KPIs and use data to identify improvement opportunities
- Support new product development and process improvement projects
- Oversee hygiene, pest control and technical compliance
- Manage the technical budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Build a strong culture of accountability, development and continuous improvement

About You. Ideally, you will have:
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
- Level 4 HACCP and Lead Auditor qualifications
- Significant Technical, Quality or Food Safety experience within food manufacturing/FMCG
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and food safety legislation
- Experience leading audits and technical teams
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach
