Job Description

Purpose

As Technical Quotation Expert for the Component section, the successful candidate will hold a pivotal cross-over role. The TQE will be the technical reference point within the Commercial team but liaise closely on a day-to-day basis with operational and technical colleagues, as well as with customers. The TQE will be the primary quote-writer for the Component Test Laboratory section at UTAC's Millbrook site and other business units as required. The role will require the candidate to be responsible for technical review of RFQs, engagement with customers where additional details are required, coordination with opportunity owners and quote-writing. In the case where a new procedure (bespoke) is requested by the customer, the TQE will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders both in the BU, commercial team and at the customer to deliver a fully priced and costed technical proposal.

The role requires a high level of technical competence and experience in the given field and the successful candidate will be comfortable in articulating technical quote content in a clear, concise and professional written format. The candidate will be customer focused, responsive, and have an eye for detail and accuracy, using the Group’s CRM system.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
