About Scrumconnect
Scrumconnect Consulting is a leading UK digital and technology consultancy delivering impactful, user-centred digital services for the public sector. We partner with central government departments, agencies, and local authorities to build innovative digital solutions that improve citizens' lives.
With a growing team of engineers, architects, designers, and delivery professionals, we are passionate about building high-performing teams and creating an inclusive, collaborative work culture.
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Recruiter to join our growing recruitment team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their recruitment career — whether a recent graduate or someone with up to a year of hands-on or internship experience — to build a career in technical recruitment.
In this role, you will support end-to-end hiring activities, primarily focused on sourcing and hiring technology talent across engineering and QA functions. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced recruiters as you build your skills in sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement.
You will work closely with hiring managers, candidates, and the HR team to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process while helping the organisation scale high-performing technical teams.
The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, and has strong communication skills — technical recruitment experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, social media platforms, and other recruitment channels (full training provided)
- Support the team in building talent pipelines for technical roles including:
- Full Stack Developers
- Frontend Developers
- Backend Developers
- QA Engineers
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, including virtual, phone, and in-person interviews
- Assist with the recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through interview coordination and offer support
- Help post and manage job advertisements across company websites, job boards, and social platforms
- Screen resumes and applications under guidance, learning to identify qualified candidates for hiring managers
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Communicate professionally and warmly with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Support onboarding activities for successful hires
- Assist in organising recruitment drives, job fairs, and employer branding initiatives
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR teams to understand hiring requirements and recruitment priorities
- Learn and follow recruitment processes that remain compliant with company policies and GDPR standards
- Bring fresh ideas to sourcing strategies, hiring processes, and candidate engagement

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
