The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Technical Recruiter to join our People Team in Manchester. As Mark43’s first People hire in the UK, you’ll have the opportunity to build and grow our UK recruiting practice, shape our employer brand in a new market, and help establish the foundation for our continued expansion.
This isn’t just a sourcing role. You’ll be at the forefront of building a mission-driven UK organisation tackling some of the toughest technical challenges in public safety. Your work will connect brilliant minds with impactful missions and directly influence how our teams grow and thrive. From pioneering new AI tools to building scalable software that first responders depend on, you’ll help bring in the talent that powers it all.
What You’ll Do
If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:
- Led a search for backend engineers skilled in distributed systems to support new AI-enabled features
- Partnered with hiring managers across Engineering and Product to calibrate candidate profiles and design effective interview processes
- Developed a talent mapping strategy for critical technical roles across Manchester and the broader UK market
- Attended a Manchester tech meetup to introduce Mark43 to prospective candidates and grow our presence in the local technology community
- Collaborated with Marketing to develop content showcasing Mark43’s mission, culture, and impact in UK public safety
- Screened and engaged candidates with backgrounds in cybersecurity for our growing Information Security team
- Helped establish recruiting processes and practices that support Mark43’s continued growth in the UK
- Used sourcing tools and platforms to build long-term talent pipelines across key technical disciplines

What You’ll Need
We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter with 3+ years of experience in a high-growth software environment. You should have a track record of hiring for technical roles such as software engineers, product managers, and information security specialists. Familiarity with enterprise software and a strong understanding of what drives successful technical teams will help you thrive in this role.
You should have strong experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and be comfortable working within Greenhouse, our preferred applicant tracking system. Because you’ll be our first People hire in the UK, you should also be comfortable operating independently, building new processes, and representing Mark43 in a developing talent market.

Location and Work Model
This role is based in Manchester and follows a hybrid working model, with the expectation of working from our Manchester office three days per week.
