Job Type: Freelance / Independent Co.
Location: Remote (UK)
Compensation: Commission Only Initially, with Opportunity to Move to Base Salary + Commission

About ByteHire

ByteHire is a specialist technology recruitment business helping companies hire high-quality technical talent across the UK, US and international markets. We take a technical-first approach, combining specialist recruitment with structured screening and engineering-led validation to give clients greater confidence in the candidates they interview. We are looking for an experienced recruitment sales professional to generate new client relationships and help grow ByteHire's UK business.

About the Role

This is primarily a sales and business development role, rather than a recruitment delivery position. Your focus will be selling ByteHire's recruitment services to new companies, opening conversations with hiring decision-makers and converting prospects into active recruitment clients. Ideally, you will have previously worked as a recruiter before moving into a recruitment sales or business development position. We are also interested in strong 360 recruiters who can demonstrate that winning new clients has been a significant part of their role. You will be supported by ByteHire's recruitment, sourcing and technical screening teams, allowing you to concentrate primarily on developing relationships and generating new business.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who has personally sold recruitment services to businesses and understands how to turn a cold prospect into an active recruitment client. You should be comfortable identifying target companies, approaching senior decision-makers, pitching recruitment services, handling objections, negotiating terms and ultimately securing vacancies. Recruitment experience is highly valuable because we want someone who understands what they are selling, but your ability to generate and close new business is the priority.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
