Technical Recruitment Consultant - USA
Realistic first-year OTE: £70,000 - £90,000
Location: Ampthill, Bedfordshire
Work Schedule: 3 days per week onsite, occasional U.S travel (2 - 3 times per year)
Working Hours: 10:30am - 7pm: Flexible working hours to accommodate time zones
We’re growing our presence in the U.S. and looking for an experienced Technical Recruitment Consultant to join Octagon Group. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role, recruiting specialist talent for innovative technology and engineering businesses across the United States. Incredible earning potential and opportunities for international travel.
You’ll manage a 360 recruitment desk, developing client relationships, winning new business and placing high-value permanent candidates within specialist technical markets.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with recruitment experience in a technology or engineering specialism, such as:
- Electronics, semiconductors or embedded systems
- RF, microwave or wireless communications
- Aerospace, defence or space
- Power electronics or electrical engineering
- Mechanical, manufacturing or automation
- Software or other specialist technology markets
You’ll need to be comfortable managing the complete recruitment lifecycle - from business development and account management through to sourcing, interviewing and closing candidates.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is disciplined, commercially minded and motivated to build something. You’ll have the autonomy of remote working, backed by an experienced team, established processes and a strong reputation in specialist engineering recruitment.
