About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical & Regulatory Manager to play a key role in protecting the quality, integrity, and reputation of the Bamford Collection’s non-food products across our Bamford and Daylesford brands.
From Cosmetics and Personal Care to Homeware, you will be the technical expert at the heart of our product journey, working closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, and our manufacturing partners to bring products to market that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
You will guide products from concept and formulation through to launch and beyond, ensuring they meet the regulatory requirements of every market in which we operate. You will also build strong relationships with our suppliers, oversee technical compliance, and ensure our product claims, artwork, and supporting documentation are robust and accurate.
As the business continues to grow internationally, you will stay ahead of evolving regulations, identify potential risks, and provide practical, commercially minded advice that enables us to innovate with confidence while staying true to the Bamford Collection’s commitment to quality, responsibility, and better choices for people and planet.
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
This role is full-time, 40 hours, and based in the office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical, regulatory, and compliance activity across all Bamford Collection non-food products and international markets.
- Manage product compliance documentation, registrations, safety assessments, and regulatory submissions.
- Provide technical guidance throughout product development, from formulation and materials through to packaging, artwork, and claims.
- Manage technical relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, including audits, certifications, quality standards, and corrective actions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure products remain compliant across all relevant markets.
- Investigate quality issues and product non-conformances, leading root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Maintain technical policies, procedures, and regulatory systems, supporting audits and reporting to senior management.
- Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and external partners to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Support the Bamford Collection’s sustainability, ethical sourcing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills You Will Bring
- 8–10 years’ experience in a Technical, Regulatory, Quality, or Compliance role within Cosmetics, Personal Care, Home Fragrance, Homeware, or a related consumer goods sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK and international product regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working across international markets, ideally including the EU, North America, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- A pragmatic, commercially minded approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience managing suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks such as REACH, CLP, GPSR, EPR, and FSC.
- A strong understanding of UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) and PCN (Poison Centre Notification) requirements.
- An up-to-date knowledge of UK/EU Cosmetics Regulations.
- A relevant degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Product Safety, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Experience with sustainability, ethical sourcing standards, and/or Lead Auditor qualifications would be advantageous.
