About the Role
At ubitricity, we are accelerating the rollout of accessible and reliable public EV charging infrastructure across the UK.
We are looking for a Technical & Regulatory Manager to provide technical expertise and regulatory guidance across our UK public charging activities. You will support client engagement, tender processes, project planning and deployment readiness, ensuring that our solutions are technically robust, compliant and aligned with evolving market and public-sector requirements.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, regulation, infrastructure delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will help translate technical and regulatory complexity into clear guidance for commercial, delivery, operations and product teams.
Key Responsibilities

- Act as a subject matter expert for UK EV charging infrastructure, particularly public and local authority charging solutions.
- Provide technical input to client discussions, commercial opportunities, project planning and tender processes.
- Review technical specifications, statements of requirements and tender documentation.
- Support tender and project development by preparing technical clarifications, solution narratives and quality responses, while assessing technical risks, feasibility and implementation requirements in close collaboration with commercial, delivery and operations teams.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Monitor UK EV charging regulations, industry standards, accessibility requirements and policy developments and translate them into practical recommendations for internal teams.
- Represent ubitricity in industry forums and stakeholder groups (e.g. ChargeUK and OZEV), helping shape discussions and monitor regulatory developments.
- Support alignment with local authority requirements, public-sector frameworks and funding programmes.
- Maintain awareness of market best practice, technical standards and emerging compliance requirements.
- Engage with industry working groups to influence regulatory bodies shaping market requirements to fit ubitricity's offering in the UK.
- Provide regular updates and guidance to relevant internal stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
