Why Join Us
Own your career at Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company. Our purpose of Feeding the Future unites us into one team, all working together to achieve a meaningful, global impact for generations to come. Empowering and investing in our people and our planet is at the heart of everything we do. Which is why, when you join us as a Technical Sales Advisor, you will be nurtured and equipped to build a rewarding career full of potential.
What You’ll Do
As Technical Sales Advisor, you’ll turn specialist knowledge and customer data into practical nutritional solutions for our B2B feed mill customers across the Republic of Ireland. Working alongside Account Managers, you’ll provide the technical credibility that helps strengthen customer relationships, improve animal performance and support sustainable commercial growth.
You’ll:
- Provide technical and nutritional support across our ruminant portfolio, with a particular focus on dairy, young animal nutrition, feed additives and mineral nutrition.
- Visit feed mill customers and, where required, support their farming customers by reviewing needs, checking nutritional specifications and recommending practical solutions.
- Analyse technical, product and customer data, translating your findings into clear recommendations for both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Deliver product presentations, customer training and on-farm technical support, while sharing relevant research, field data and product developments.
- Work closely with Account Managers on joint customer visits, product adoption and technical issue resolution, while contributing insights and opportunities to the wider sales strategy.
The Account Manager will retain ownership of the commercial relationship, forecasting and customer account, while you’ll provide deeper technical expertise and help resolve nutrition or performance-related challenges.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is responsible, accountable and ready to Own this role. You’ll combine a strong foundation in animal nutrition with the confidence to build credibility among customers, farmers and commercial colleagues. Extensive sales experience is not essential, but you should be able to connect technical advice with customer needs and commercial opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
