dSPACE is seeking a Technical Sales Application Engineer to support customers across the UK, with a particular focus on expanding our presence in the Aerospace market.
This customer facing role combines strong technical understanding with commercial awareness. You will work closely with customers as they explore and adopt dSPACE’s simulation, validation, and testing solutions across the full development lifecycle from early software and model-based development through to integration and validation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical discussions, system-level thinking, and demonstrating how advanced tools deliver real engineering and business value.
Your Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their development challenges and position dSPACE solutions to meet their technical and commercial requirements.
- Support growth within the Aerospace sector, including applications such as avionics, flight control, and safety-critical embedded software.
- Contribute to the sales process through technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and evaluations, both on-site and online.
- Demonstrate and explain solutions across the dSPACE portfolio, including:
- Model-based development and verification
- Software- and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation
- Virtual integration and validation concepts (e.g. virtual ECUs, co-simulation)
- Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to develop tailored technical solutions and proposals.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships by supporting early project phases and technology adoption.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends in simulation, embedded software development, safety-critical systems, and digital validation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
