We are seeking a commercially driven and highly skilled Technical Sales & Appointed Person to bridge the gap between business growth and engineering safety.

In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by securing contract lifting projects, while retaining the sole technical authority to plan, assess risk, and oversee those lifting operations.

You will act as the trusted technical expert for our clients, from the initial point of contact through to site survey and the final, safe execution of the lift.

This job description should not be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive. There shall be a requirement to carry out other duties which the Company believes are within your capability.

Core Responsibilities

Business Development & Technical Sales

  • Pipeline Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities within sectors such as construction, infrastructure, renewables and utilities
  • Client Advisory: Meet with prospective clients to understand their lifting requirements, positioning our engineering capabilities as the ideal solution.
  • Estimation & Bidding: Conduct accurate commercial estimating, calculate project costs (crane hire, transport, rigging, labour, permits), and produce competitive commercial proposals.
  • Contract Management: Advise clients on the legal and financial differences between standard crane hire and fully managed Contract Lifts, ensuring appropriate contract selection.
  • Strategy: Develop and implement business line strategy for keeping us at the forefront of technology and implementation within the space

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
