Technical Sales Consultant, £40k to £50k (DOE) + Performance-Related Bonus, Shropshire

Job Title

Technical Sales Consultant – Architectural / Construction Products

Location

Shropshire (Office-Based)

Salary

£40k to £50k (DOE) + Performance-Related Bonus

Are you a commercially driven sales professional with a background in construction, engineering, or technical building products? Looking for a high-value, consultative sales role where technical solution-selling takes priority over high-volume cold calling?

A market-leading UK manufacturer of specialised architectural steel structures is seeking an ambitious Technical Sales Consultant to take ownership of complex construction opportunities.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional call-center or transactional sales role. You will manage high-value construction projects throughout the entire sales cycle—from initial client inquiry to final contract award. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will work closely with architects, developers, and main contractors to solve structural challenges and influence project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop complex construction opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with architects, main contractors, consultants, and developers.
  • Identify key project decision-makers and proactively influence the specification journey.
  • Understand client technical requirements and propose commercially viable structural solutions.
  • Proactively generate new business and follow up on pipeline opportunities with persistence and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate project details and pipeline tracking within the CRM system.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
