Mission:
The Technical Sales Consultant will drive digital transformation initiatives for utilities companies by promoting Schneider Electric’s GeoSCADA solutions and AVEVA’s enterprise software portfolio. This role combines deep technical knowledge of industrial automation software with consultative sales expertise to deliver end-to-end solutions—from data acquisition and SCADA integration to enterprise-level analytics and data lake architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Position Schneider Electric GeoSCADA as the core supervisory control solution for water, wastewater, and utility networks as well as other suitable applications.
- Architect digital transformation strategies leveraging AVEVA Software, Historian, and analytics suites for enterprise integration.
- Engage with utility stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into software-driven solutions.
- Deliver compelling presentations and workshops showcasing the value of integrated automation and data-driven insights.
- Design software architectures to integrate with AVEVA software, and enable seamless data flow from device layer through to enterprise systems.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance and adherence to industry standards throughout solution design.
- Work closely with Schneider Electric sales teams, AVEVA specialists, and system integrators to deliver complete solutions.
- Understanding of devices commonly used within a telemetry architecture.
- Able to deliver customer presentations related to digital transformation challenges in utility organisations.
- Support bid management and proposal development with technical input and architecture validation.
- Promote best practices in digital transformation for utilities, including predictive analytics, asset performance management, and sustainability initiatives.
Skills & Attributes:
- Expertise in SCADA systems, AVEVA software, Historian, and enterprise integration tools.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols, cybersecurity, and data architecture.
- Experience in utilities (water, wastewater, or energy) with a focus on operational technology and IT convergence.
- Proven track record in consultative selling and solution-based sales within industrial automation or software domains.
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure architecture and AVEVA digital transformation Solutions (preferred).

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 74,400 - GBP 111,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
